WPA Announcements

Announcements:

• The 2009 Membership Drive is now underway.  Renew today!
• The next Board Meeting will be held on April 15th.  Members are invited to provide input and help brainstorm ideas for visual art at Westlake entrances.

2008 Accomplishments:

• Sponsored Cowtown Opry as entertainment for the annual Decoration Day event in Westlake.
• Commissioned a portrait of outgoing Mayor Scott Bradley by Keller artist Stephanie Schultz.
• Commissioned an original oil painting by renowned Ft. Worth Artist, Dennis Ferris, of a Circle T longhorn.  This painting was donated to the Westlake Academy Foundation's annual Gallery Night event and received the highest bid, selling for $5,000 to support the school.
• Completed of a Master Plan for public art in Westlake.
• Deployed the new Westlake Public Art Society website.
